Accountant
Job Purpose:
The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial records using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting day-to-day finance operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in bookkeeping and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Recording & Bookkeeping
- Record daily transactions in QuickBooks.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledgers.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial activities.
2. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Use Excel to create financial models, summaries, and custom reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
3. VAT & Compliance
- Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with UAE laws.
- Maintain compliance with FTA guidelines and other financial regulations.
- Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors when needed.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Track receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Process supplier payments and maintain payment schedules.
5. Support & Coordination
- Assist with payroll entries and employee reimbursement records.
- Coordinate with management and external stakeholders on financial matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
